University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy

University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM) was founded in 1953 and inherited the best traditions of the Bulgarian chemical and metallurgical education. Every year UCTM trains about 3000 students. UCTM has developed a complex training and research centre for education of highly qualified specialists for the needs of industry, research, and education. The educational and research policy of UCTM is based on the philosophy that the future belongs to the new materials, high technologies in the field of chemical and metallurgical engineering and their influence on the environment.

UCTM is responsible for the adaptation of learning materials to the needs of UCTM, design of student assessment tests for UCTM, training tutors in UCTM, participation in the pilot tests and experimental pedagogical research.
