COLLABORATION INOMA – UNED

INOMA and UNED have collaborated in the joint development of the training program of Expert in MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF GRID-CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS CONNECTED, developed within the framework of collaboration between INOMA and UNED through which resources and systems of both entities are shared in order to provide high quality training programs. Thus, numerous students who could benefit from this activity have been able to update their technological skills and improve their employability in the renewable energy sector. These activities served as well to contact other companies in the sector, therefore strengthening University-Industry relations, promoting synergies and the transfer of knowledge to the productive sector.

The logos of the companies collaborating in this activity are shown hereunder:

The participation of INOMA in these courses for professional development allowed for a practical approach according to the demands of the productive sector.

INOMA and UNED have drawn up ERASMUS + project proposals for several different calls, such as the MECA project - a success in the participation of educational entities and companies from several European countries, partners of this project. The MicroElectronics Cloud Alliance (MECA) aims at the development of a cloud-based European infrastructure for learning and teaching micro and nanoelectronics by providing a series of educational open resources, remote access and exchange of educational and professional software as well as facilities for practical and remote training.

INOMA has technically advised the School of Industrial Engineering and the laboratories of the Electrical Engineering Department of UNED on the choice of photovoltaic solutions. These facilities provide a real-sized test bed that can be used to improve training of students and show the possibilities of this technology. They allow the plant to serve as an experimental laboratory on an industrial scale, where scientific and technological works on photovoltaic solar energy and other specialties related to the production of electric power can be developed. Among these works would be the development of tools for the calculation of photovoltaic production, the monitoring of operation conditions and their influence on energy production, remote management for evaluating production of energy and advanced and efficient maintenance service, or the influence on the low voltage distribution network of small and medium-sized photovoltaic plants connected in a decentralized manner.

UNED has supported INOMA Renewables in the preparation of a new and successful proposal for the ERASMUS + program for obtaining funding from the European Commission, and thus allowing INOMA to participate as a partner in the HY2Green project:

Hy2Green

“Europe must be prepared for the necessary energy change planned for the coming years, and hydrogen produced by renewable energies plays a key role in a new energy scheme. Fuel cells industry provides a growth potential of up to 500,000 direct jobs in 2020 within the EU. These workers must have a specific qualification for the development, implementation and deployment of these technologies. Hy2Green project aims at:
  1. Identifying the market niches with higher potential of implementation and determination of most demanded profiles.
  2. Identifying the technical knowledge and skills required for these profiles, as well as innovative training methodologies to implement on the program.
  3. Designing an innovative training program for these profiles, oriented to employability, efficiency and accessibility training.”
